2nd Annual Southern Maryland Crab Smashin'

We are in the planning stages for the now infamous Southern Maryland Crab Smashin' get together of Attorneys, Bail Bondsmen, Posting Agents, and Bail Enforcement Agents. This is a great opportunity to mingle over beer and crabs and network with like minded professionals and grow your business. Last years event was an inprompto last minute adventure and had attendees from CA, PA, MD, WV and VA. There are pictures floating around from our official, unofficial photographer Bill Marx who almost stayed out of trouble. Make no mistake, we have a great time and look forward to an expanded crowd this year and with enough advanced notice this time, we will probalbly get the whole top floor of the super secret crab house where we will host this event. Why is it secret? Because it is a "locals only" hot spot and we don't want it ruined by those tourist people!

Bail Enforcement Training Registration

Bail Enforcement Training seminars are taught by Scott MacLean and Rod Milstead, both active Bail Bondsmen and Fugitive Recovery Professionals with National and International effected apprehensions, liability free. Our classes focus on our unique "Low Impact" approach to fugitive investigations and include the history of bail, industry vocabulary, psychology of working with partners, the dynamics of case managment from acquiring the case, preliminary investigation, physical investigation, court records, data base searches, field interviews of potential witnesses, converting hostile witnesses into assets that will help you close cases, skill sets that will assist your bondsman client and endear them to you, hands on techniques for properly securing your defendant, transporting your defendant both locally and intrastate as well as interstate, surrendering your defendant to the local wanting agency, and the paperwork required to protect yourself and get you paid. This is not like any business you have ever been in and successful recovery agents will be knowledgeable and well versed in basic business practices as well as the skill sets required to ensure your success. When performed properly, there is minimal drama, and this does not lend itself to television series! We teach the covert nature of this business, not just to ensure your success, but your safety as well as your family's safety. Training is $500.00 per student, and this covers two very full days of class. Class requirements are proper business attire, ability to take notes and network with fellow classmates. Since our classes are often attended by individuals that are seeking knowledge and have no intention of every plying this craft, we do not require background checks. Our classes have been attended by Judges on a state and federal level, politicians, attorneys and reporters. Often bondsmen need to know how the investigation side is handled to manage their own in house investigative team. Our position is that this is not the end of your education, but the beginning. We encourage all students to become students of the craft, seeking out educational opportunities where available, and then practicing discernment about what information is applicable to your area of operation and disgarding what is not. Regardless of what you may hear from hucksters selling seats to classes, we always encourage our students to keep their day jobs. This industry can be an excellent second income, but very few can make a full time income from this type of work. We look forward to starting you on your journey!
